Submitting a Photo and Essay: Beginning at 12:00 a.m. central time on Monday, February 20, 2012 and ending at 11:59 p.m. central time on Monday, March 12, 2012 (“Submission Period”), enter by submitting a photo and a maximum 300 word essay about your kitchen with all required information. Photos must be submitted by an adult 18 years or older. Only one photo per entry per kitchen will be accepted. Complete the entry form, attach the photo, write the essay, complete any other required fields and then submit your entry by clicking on the “SUBMIT” button. Online submissions must be received by 11:59 pm, Sunday, March 12, 2012. By entering, you agree to the terms of these Official Rules. All photos become the property of Channel3000.com and absolutely no photos will be returned. Copyrighted photos must be accompanied by photographer’s release. Channel3000.com reserves the rights to refuse any photograph it determines to be unacceptable.
How to Vote: Go to the contest page of Channel3000.com. Voting begins at 12:00:00 a.m. (central time) on Monday, March 19, 2012 and ends at 11:59 pm central time on Sunday, April 8, 2012. You can vote for the ugliest kitchen by submitting a voting ballot online. In the event of a dispute, all online entries will be deemed to have been submitted by the owner of the ISP account from which they were sent. For these purposes, an ISP account holder shall mean the natural person assigned to such ISP account by the Internet access provider, online service provider or other organization responsible for assigning ISP addresses for the domain associated with such ISP account. Any questions regarding the number of entries or votes submitted or the owner of an ISP account shall be determined by Channel3000.com in its sole discretion, and Channel3000.com reserves the right to disqualify any entries by persons determined to be tampering with or abusing any aspect of the contest.
One entry submission per kitchen; one entry submission per email address. Duplicate entries disqualify your name. Viewers may vote once per day for the duration of the voting period.
The winners will be based on the kitchen picture receiving the highest number of votes. 1st place will go to the kitchen with the most votes, 2nd place to the kitchen with the second highest amount of votes, and 3rd place to the kitchen with the third highest amount of votes. The decisions of the Contest regarding entries and winner shall be final.
The Winners will be notified by email, mail or phone during the week following the Drawing Date. Winners will also be posted on the website no later than Tuesday, April 10, 2012.
Prizes may not be substituted and are not refundable or redeemable for cash. Prizes must be redeemed by December 1, 2012. Odds of winning will depend on the number of eligible entries received.
This Contest is open to legal residents of Wisconsin counties of Rock, Dane, Green, Jefferson and Walworth and open to legal residents of Illinois, counties of Winnebago and Boone who are 18 years of age or older. The Contest is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations. This offer is void where prohibited or restricted. Employees of Television Wisconsin, Inc., Marling Lumber Co., Inc, Marling HomeWorks and any Participating Companies, the advertising and promotion agencies representing any of such companies and members of those employees' families are not eligible to enter or win.
Marling HomeWorks will pay up to $1,700 for kitchen renovations. Contractor selection for the renovation will be made by the first prize winner. Neither Marling Lumber Company, Incorporated nor Marling HomeWorks will be liable nor warrant job site conditions nor the work of contractor doing the renovating work.
By submitting an entry, each entrant agrees to all the terms and conditions of these rules; agrees to be bound by these rules and the decisions of the Contest judges; and consent to the use of his/her name, likeness and other information for publicity purposes. Each winner accepting a prize and each guest traveling with and/or accompanying the winner consent to the use of his/her name and/or likeness for advertising, trade and promotional purposes without further compensation, except where prohibited by law. Each entrant waives the right to assert, as a cost of winning any prize, any and all costs of verification and redemption or travel to redeem a prize and any liability that might arise from redeeming or seeking to redeem a prize. Winner is responsible for taxes, building permits and title fees and will complete necessary tax documentation (W-9) before price is awarded. Each entrant releases each of the following from any and all liability with respect to or arising out of the acceptance, use, misuse or possession of any prize and/or the loss or misdirection of any prize: Television Wisconsin, Inc., Marling Lumber Co, Inc., Marling HomeWorks and the Participating Company; their respective affiliates, subsidiaries, divisions, franchises, advertising and promotional agencies; and their respective officers, directors and employees. Television Wisconsin, Inc. reserves the right to cancel, amend and/or revoke this Contest due to printing errors or other mistakes.
Television Wisconsin Inc. and Marling Lumber Co., Inc. are not responsible for any problems/failures related to any contestant’s lost, stolen or misdirected entry. Incomplete entries will be disqualified.
